About the Project
Amar Hishab-Kitab is a transformative digital financial literacy app I developed for Bank Asia during my tenure at Kompass Technologies Ltd. This project aimed to enhance financial literacy and expand banking service access across Bangladesh, leveraging an extensive agent banking network.
The app, available in Bengali, targets financially illiterate populations to improve their financial health through education and practical tools. I worked on creating a comprehensive solution that bridges the gap between banking services and the mass market.
Key Features I Built
- Dynamic dashboard displaying balance, income, and expenses
- Transaction history with categorized entries (Food, Shopping, Salary, Rent)
- EMI calculator for loan planning and repayment schedules
- Interactive map for locating banking agents across regions
- Bengali language interface for local accessibility
- Financial literacy modules with interactive quizzes and lessons
- Banking service integration and account management guidance
- QR-based payment system integration
- Information about banking products, ATM usage, and loan applications
What I Learned
This project deepened my understanding of financial technology and the importance of accessible design for diverse user bases. I learned to design and implement clean, intuitive UI/UX for financial tracking and education while ensuring compliance with banking regulations and Google Play policies for financial apps.
Working on multilingual support with Bengali as the primary language taught me about localization challenges and the importance of cultural sensitivity in app design. The project also enhanced my skills in integrating real-time data, Google Maps API, and secure data handling for financial information.
